Why use PEEK™ screws?

If you need a fastener that is virtually non-corrosive, PEEK™ (polyetheretherketone) screws may be a superior substitute for metal components and screws made from other plastics. This highly crystalline thermoplastic maintains its properties under an extreme range of conditions, and it offers good wear resistance, low moisture absorption, and excellent hydrolysis resistance. It withstands high temperature levels, even under sustained pressure, and with a continuous use temperature rating 482°F (250°C), it can be sterilized repeatedly without damage to material . It is also known for its excellent chemical resistance (organic, inorganic solvents, aqueous reagents) and high mechanical strength, including good flexural, tensile, impact and fatigue properties.

If you are looking for injection molded, nonmetallic screws. These "off-the-shelf" fasteners are made with PEEK polymer, a high performance thermoplastic. The screws are ideal for assembling production equipment in semiconductors , and in applications where stainless steel corrodes or other plastics lack sufficient strength.
**Available in - Flat head, Pan head, Hex head, Allen head bolt, Hex head nut, Nut and Washers.

*Chemical resistance may vary with temperature. Be sure to evaluate under conditions of actual expected use.

*For best results in compression applications, it is strongly recommended that PEEK(R) screws be used in conjunction with PEEK(R) nuts.

*When PEEK(R) screws are used in threaded holes without nuts, the contact surface should be less than 20mm.
